(For Investors in higher tax brackets who are investing outside of tax-deferred retirement accounts).
The objective here is to provide a high level of total after-tax return, including attractive tax-advantaged income. HVIM managers seek to achieve its objective by investing in a pool of assets that generate income that is either exempt from regular federal income tax* or taxed at favorable rates. Selections focus on the potential for capital preservation through exposure to higher credit quality instruments. Most of the total assets are in municipal securities, however, some exposures to common and preferred equities will be allowed if conditions are seen as favorable by Hidden Value managers.

(For Investors, often in retirement, seeking higher income potential without the need for tax exemption*).
With an objective of providing a steady income stream, HVIM managers invest in assets that generate income while also offering the potential for capital preservation through exposure to higher credit quality instruments. Most of the total assets are invested in corporate and government agency bonds, however, exposures to dividend-paying common stocks, REIT's and preferred equities will be allowed if conditions are seen as favorable by Hidden Value managers.
